Residents and visitors to Cape Town are privileged to have a thrilling canopy experience nearby. Cape Canopy Tour has built 11 slides, some over 300m long, each ending on a platform constructed on the cliffs and fynbos covered mountain slopes above the popular Riviersonderend Gorge in the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve.
This place is only a 1 hour drive from Cape Town.
The site has a unique suspension bridge between a narrow sandstone ravine high above a spectacular double waterfall which will be a highlight of the tour.
2 Well trained guides accompany you on this natural experience that is safe, comfortable and lasts 3.5 hours. The guides will provide information about the fynbos and geology of this unique World Heritage Site. The tour includes a 4×4 journey through the nature reserve, refreshments on one of the cliff-side platforms as well as a light lunch afterwards.
This outdoor activity is suitable for almost all ages (5 –75 years is the recommended limit) and will operate in most weather conditions (rain gear is provided). If you’ve got a GoPro or action camera make sure to carry it along so that you can remember and share this amazing experience with others. Also bring comfortable shoes and warm clothes in case the weather changes.
